When I was running my shop the 'The Record Basement' one of my regular customers was a young talented DJ from Basingstoke called 'KGB'. He came into the shop one week and had his demo on tape for me to listen to, when I told him how much I loved it, he was really pleased as he had intended to offer it to me, for my new label 'Basement Records'. Unknown to me at that time, the engineer on this EP was no other than,the mighty 'Jack Smooth'.
This release grabbed a lot of attention and propelled Kev into the limelight and helped me hook up with a few more DJs who all had a massive influence on the Labels future. Those DJs were Jumping Jack Frost, Frankie Valentine, Mickey Finn and Grooverider.
The first three Basement Tunes were all promo'ed together and received high praise in the press and the label was especially noted by Kris Needs at 'Black Echoes', who said this label was not just another rave label but had something unique about it,so as a Soul Boy, I was really pleased.

Crash mix does best for me. Not very uptempo but just a bit laidback. Works best for this song. Just go with the flow. And yet recognizable as beakbeat/uk hardcore. Kev Bird has done a nice job with this plastic plate.
