I do not own this copy but if the timing up there is the right on then OH boy!!!!This must be the most shitty bad worst release ever.30min A side and 13min the B side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This must explain the low volume on side A. This release has not the right to exist. To bad and waste of paper and vinyl.AGAIN:WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darkraven
Im sorry but, this re release is just crap...I can past the fact that it doesnt use a single piece of the original artwork...it actually looks cool with only the embossed logo on the cover, but the inlay... Mehhh... You could use so many pics, bios or whatever to, kind of, make a tribute to Dissection, but no...just the logo again and the lyrics...but anyway...what really makes me hate it is the sound levels between sides...Side A is too low...so much that you have to put the stereo sound almost on max... And if you forget to down it a bit when you change the record to side B... Well then, you're in for a unpleasent surprise...I still cant believe they made such a bad mistake... Anyway, do avoid this release unless you're a collector and want this version...the record itself is beautiful ????

Nikobar
yea I was going to buy this but not now thanks for verifying the sound is still garbage on this. The 2017 version is crap too. YOU HEAR THAT?? THIS PRESS IS GARBAGE TOO DO NOT BUY UNTIL THEY FIX THE SOUND ISSUE BETWEEN SIDES A/B

Rich Vulture
Side A is drastically lower volume than side B. Make sure to turn it down upon flipping or you will blow your head off. I speak from experience. Love this record though.

Skunk Black
Wish I read that before buying, it's really quiet, for a moment I thought there was an issue with my amp

Super P
Does anyone know if this pressing is any better than the 2017 version thats known to be not very good...

Flamekiller
The only complaints I have about this record is that they didn't have the original artwork artwork and that the album is really quiet. Apart from that it sounds really good. Highs are clear and drums are punchy.

Kerahuginn
Agree with nospaulatu, cover looks little blurry compared to 2006 press... sound wise its AMAZING press!!!Its good as 2006 press still with its own vibe ! This is best possible sound you can find along with 2006 ultimate reissue ! If you able to find this album dont hestiate to catch it!Enjoy !????

Anyshoun
This repress sounds really good, I don't get why so much hate.

MarF
Unfortunately sound very bad, i have the end records 2014 and the end records ultimate reissue 2006 and both sound XY times better than 2018/2019 reissue .

VizoRRR
If you manage to find this copy and you can afford this is best possible sound quality u can find of this masterpiece album. Its amazing set , great booklet, cover is good quality as well, and most important its perfect master /mix as vinyl should get .So dont hestiate to buy this one if u have a chance . Enjoy

Reddefender
Who would reissue the Dissection albums and not include original artwork? Lazy work from the label and should receive severe punishment.

Kare
I have high end audio system (dont want to mention numbers but u lookin at xx.xxx$ system), and this sound horrible. It looks lime its not pressed from master tapes or its not mastered for vinyl. I have for example storm ultimate reissue by the end music and that record sound x times better. I know its different album but it sound clearer, louder and better .If you here for sound expirience that vinyl and your system can bring just avoid this . If u collector u can have this in ur collection just for fun .

Peles
seems like your hi-end system sucks, cuz I listened to this album on my usual philips soundbar system in a 1997 year, and I was amazed of the unique sound this album have!!! go and throw your system into trash! or listen only bad boys blue on this XXXXXXXX$ system))

Llanonte
Very nice repress of great metal album.

Andromakus
Thanks for the reviews guys I was going to secure a copy of this but now I will wait until they do a quality repress of this with original artwork, as well as storm of the light's bane which has reached retarded asking price value.

Camper
Ok so I finally received my copy in the mail which is this purple vinyl version and I can finally give my opinion after having spent time with it and hearing it all the way through. I’m sure if you’ve done any research on this pressing you are no doubt aware of the 2 main flaws of this release. #1 it does not contain the original cover art by Necrolord anywhere with this album and #2 yes the way they divided the tracks is very irrational and borderline retarded. However, if you’re like me and you really love this album and just desperately want to own a nice copy on vinyl without having to pay an entire months rent then you probably are most concerned on whether you are getting a good copy “audio-wise” for the money. If you want my honest opinion, I say yes you are and yes it is worth it. I was concerned that the 30 mins of audio packed on side A would cause a major defect in the sound quality but I wasn’t positive that was a guarantee because I do own other vinyls that have this problem as well and yet the audio was NOT negatively affected. After cleaning the album, which I always do to new albums before playing them, I put on Side A on my turntable and even though I had to turn the volume up only slightly more than with most of my records it sounded really good. I can hear all the instruments clearly and through my audio setup the drums sound nice and thick and bass when he’s doing those awesome drum rolls over his toms. Every sound sounds really good on Side A, better than cd versions. I was quite surprised based on the negative reviews people have been giving this. Then Side B started and it sounds even fuller and more dynamic which obviously has to do with the fact that less space was used to fill with audio, make sure you turn the volume down again before playing Side B because it is louder than Side A so you will want to avoid being startled by the noticeable transition. All in all I really like this record and am just really glad to have it in my collection especially for this price. I had heard mainly bad things from people about this album but decided to take a leap of faith anyway and it paid off. I have faith in my turntable and my audio setup and I know what it’s capable of and that I bet it sounds better than most peoples setups and based on this knowledge I had a strong feeling that this was still a vinyl and most crappy vinyls still sound better than really good cds so there’s no way it could sound as terrible on my setup as people were saying, and I was right. So if you are someone who takes care of your records and has an audio setup to your specifications and you’re happy with your usual results with vinyls then get this because it sounds great on my equipment.

This is a bad reissue. Very weak sounding side A and side B is more louder. it is clearly taken from a cd source. I thought the Black Horizons pic disc issue was pretty weak but this reissue is even worse. If you’re a die hard Dissection fan and would want to collect different physical issue variants, then this would be a pretty decent buy. If you’re here for the sound, stay away from this release.

Llbery
A-side has very thin sound quality. Too tight pressing, so you lose a lot with this issue. B-side sounds much better. A big disappointment for myself.

Samugul
Indeed. I’m feeling just that this release is “Get the money from fans and couldn’t care less” -re-release from the label.

inetserfer
Sorry for long time to reply. Yeah, I haven’t tried this one since I posted the comment. So far nowadays I have a lot better player, so I’m going to give it a new try, but as far as I can remember, I had to use in A-side something like 10dB more volume, or even more. I’ll try to listen to it again as soon as possible.

White gold
This is very odd. The quality of side A doesn't seem too bad (although B is definitely better), but the difference in volume between A and B is staggering.

dermeco
Hard to understand why they wanted to put 31 minutes on side A and only 13 on side B. Last tracks of side A aren't even too long.

Shaktiktilar
are pink version of cd 1st press too? Regards

Zeueli
WTF were they thinking, putting >30 min on side A and only about 15 on the B side :-/

ChallengeMine
I can't buy this just for the fact they destroyed a beautiful cover and put this on it. For shame.

Samardenob
Looks like all presses have this volume differnce. B side is louder than A side. It is weird actually why this was even released that way.

bass
Unless you're a completist, avoid this release! Different qualities in sound and volume on the two sides. Very weird that they let this pass, obvious how little they care...

Nuliax
It's all volume, I did not see any drop in quality itself. But yes, it's strange - plus there's 30 minutes of music on the A-side and 15 on the B-side... I guess this is the reason for the volume difference.

Olwado
So glad they swapped the original (and absolutely stunning) album cover art for this horrible, boring black cover with the band logo. Way to do this album justice, guys.

Nalmergas
I just bought mine, how would you honestly rate the sound quality? Worse than cd?

Dorintrius
No original artwork inside?Thats no good....I am just waiting my copy to arived

Dellevar
This reissue is a weird one. The original artwork has been replaced by a pretty boring sleeve with an embossed logo but I can live with that, 'cause the music is excellent. The pressing however is also weird one. Why is the playing time on the A side over 30 minutes and the B side just 15 minutes. This is a bad decision. They should've used the original picture disc order as the tracklisting. The thing is that side A because of the long playing time is infinitely lower in volume than side B. The soundquality is OK but I have to turn down my amp as soon as side B is playing, this is very annoying. This issue with the A side also results in having more surface noise because you have to turn up the volume in order to enjoy the music and this pressing on gold/black marbled vinyl looks ok, sounds decent except for the parts where the acoustic guitar is playing, you will hear hiss and noise. I am happy to finally own this on vinyl but I just don't understand the decisions that have been made with this reissue.

Blackbrand
the cover artwork is fairly blurry/pixellated on this reissue. Storm of the Light's Bane looks fine though

Whitemaster
This limited box also came with a black DISSECTION t-shirt included.

Hiclerlsi
very nice !!!!!

Gajurus
Amazing guitars, drums, and lyrics.
