Douglas comes from a musical family background, her mother being blues and jazz singer Minnie Newsome and her cousin, soul legend, Sam Cooke. Though she recorded singles for a variety of labels throughout the '80s, this 1979 outing is Douglas' last full-length effort to date. Focused on straight-ahead disco tunes, the album is only six songs long, with several hitting the seven-plus minute mark. The results are generally appealing, if nothing remarkable. BUT, on the contrary, the B side is a really good one soul-funk side, good songs and stuff that grooves right.
